Beginning the New Day 2
I opened my eyes and the first thing that I was graced with seeing this morning was Matt`s obnoxious face drooling all over his pillow, snoring away at ease. Grimacing, I turned around to face the wall of our room so I wouldnt have to look at his excuse for a face. Just before I slipped into dreamland for a second go at a good nights sleep, Matt`s unbearable snoring suddenly stopped indicating that he was finally awake.
I heard him shuffle in his bed and then I counted in my head for when he would start talking. He usually came around to business when I got to six. Then, just as six passed through my head, he experimentally clea
Sunlight streamed down to where I was lying. I blearily opened my eyes to a slit to look around at my surroundings. I was surprised to see that instead of being outside underneath the tree, I was lying on my bed in the middle of my white room. I lifted myself up with my elbow and rubbed my eyes to get rid of the leftover sleep. Sitting up on my pillows, I started wondering how I ended up in my room from being outside. It consisted of a barely passable kitchen; the fridge so meticulous that they had to kick it to make it shut properly, a tiny bedroom just big enough for both of their beds, a small bathroom that Mello was currently in and the living room that Matt was in. He was currently sitting on the old decrep

Raito threw Near a malicious grin, I win Near.
Forty! Mikami cried out elatedly while the SPK and Japanese Task Force members tensed as if to brace themselves from what seemed to be an imminent death.
Strained seconds passed as Near and Raito stared each other down; the other detectives almost willing the cold, cruel hand of Death to take their rather inadequate lives away.
After all, this was between them;
